A large unmanned cargo aircraft, developed by China’s Yitong UAV System, successfully completed its maiden flight at Laixi Dianbu Airport in Qingdao, Shandong Province.
International analysts note that this marks a significant breakthrough in China’s high-end unmanned aviation sector, particularly in aircraft capable of carrying over one ton of cargo.
Named TP1000, the drone has a payload capacity of up to 1,000 kilograms and a long-distance flight range of 1,000 kilometers. It weighs 3.3 tonnes and is designed to cater to the increasing demand for low-altitude cargo transport, with a cargo hold volume of up to 7 cubic meters.
Following the successful maiden flight, Yitong UAV System announced via its WeChat account that the TP1000 expands its product portfolio, which includes TP (fixed-wing) and TR (tilt-rotor composite wing) models.
