Dilith Jayaweera Introduces First Strategic Plan to Sri Lankan Politics **Dilith Jayaweera Introduces First Strategic Plan to Sri Lankan Politics** *Matara, Sri Lanka* – Presidential candidate and entrepreneur Dilith Jayaweera has claimed a landmark first in Sri Lankan politics, stating that his campaign is the first to present a detailed, strategic plan rather than a conventional manifesto. Jayaweera, running under the Sarvajana Balaya alliance, made this announcement during a public meeting in Charassa, Matara, on September 14. According to Jayaweera, while other candidates have merely outlined broad promises in their manifestos, his campaign focuses on a concrete plan that includes specific dates and scientifically-backed methods for achieving progress. “There are four manifestos written, but none of them include a central program. Our program records exactly how your life will change with dates. This isn’t just a sheet of promises,” Jayaweera stated. His approach emphasizes not only transformative change but also accountability. He promises measurable outcomes, a new direction for a political campaign in Sri Lanka’s history post-independence. Jayaweera also held another public meeting in Balapitiya, Galle, where he elaborated on his plan, claiming it provides a roadmap to generating wealth and paying off Sri Lanka’s debts. He noted that his strategic plan includes ensuring a minimum income of 100,000 rupees per month for households through entrepreneurship-driven initiatives. “This isn’t just talk. We have a program, with dates, that will ensure economic relief and debt repayment. Our plan is not just to hand out small amounts of cash, but to create real wealth,” he remarked. This strategic and results-oriented approach marks a departure from traditional political campaigns, positioning Jayaweera as a candidate focused on pragmatic solutions rather than empty promises.
