(COLOMBO) – A mother, daughter and son of the same family were taken into custody after they allegedly bit a police officer during a stand-off at their family home in eastern Sri Lanka, police said on Tuesday.
The incident took place at the family home belonging to the suspects located at Pottuvil-Batticoloa some 342 kilometres from the commercial capital of Colombo.
The reason for the attack was not known immediately but the policeman accompanied by two other civilians are alleged to have entered the home of the suspects for some sort of inquiry.
The suspects were later escorted to the local police station, where they are then alleged to have caused minor damages to property that including hoardings and ripping off public notices.
