In a welcome move for consumers, the Ceylon Petroleum Corporation (CPC) has announced a significant reduction in fuel prices, effective from midnight today (30).
Here’s the breakdown of the new rates:
- Octane 92 Petrol: Reduced by Rs.6, now Rs.293
- Octane 95 Petrol: Reduced by Rs.20, now Rs.341
- Auto Diesel: Reduced by Rs.12, now Rs.274
- Super Diesel: Reduced by Rs.6, now Rs.325
- Kerosene: Reduced by Rs.5, now Rs.178
The price cuts are expected to provide some much-needed relief for motorists and households, especially as transportation and utility costs continue to weigh heavily on the public.
