Rosi Senanayake questioning is expected next week as a corruption commission probes alleged fraud within Colombo Municipal Council.
Rosi Senanayake questioning is expected next week before the Presidential Commission investigating large-scale corruption and fraud within the Colombo Municipal Council.
The Commission, appointed to probe alleged corruption and fraud at the Council from 2010 to 2025, is preparing to summon former mayors for questioning over incidents said to have occurred during that period.
Accordingly, former Mayor Rosi Senanayake is scheduled to appear before the Commission next week.
Commission sources said she is expected to be questioned regarding several incidents that allegedly took place during her tenure at the Municipal Council.
President Anura Kumara Dissanayake has extended the Commission’s term, which was due to end today (29), by a further six months.
