Sri Lanka Customs finds over 200,000 cigarettes hidden inside imported metal doors worth over Rs. 30 million.
Sri Lanka Customs has seized more than 200,000 Chinese-manufactured cigarettes cleverly concealed inside metal doors imported from China.
The illicit shipment was uncovered during an inspection of an imported goods container conducted by officers of the Customs Revenue Task Force.

According to officials, the cigarettes had been meticulously concealed within the structure of the metal doors in an attempt to evade customs inspection.
The market value of the seized cigarettes is estimated at over Rs. 30 million.
Officers of the Customs Revenue Task Force are conducting further investigations into the incident.
