Dilith Jayaweera, leader of the Mawbima Janatha Party (MJP), announced that the ‘Sarvajana Balaya’ alliance is fully prepared to kick off its Presidential Election campaign. Speaking at the inauguration of the MJP’s Galle District office, Jayaweera emphasized that ‘Sarvajana Balaya’ has positioned itself as the leading alternative for the Sri Lankan populace, advocating for leftist nationalism.
“We are the sole political faction championing leftist nationalism. All other parties, including those led by President Ranil Wickremesinghe, Sajith Premadasa, and Anura Kumara Dissanayaka, align with right-wing liberalism,” Jayaweera remarked. “While they follow that path, we present a distinct alternative for our nation.”
In response to a journalist’s query about the MJP’s readiness for the upcoming presidential election, Jayaweera confidently stated, “We are fully prepared to launch our political campaign immediately as the alliance ‘Sarvajana Balaya’.”
The inauguration ceremony was attended by senior party members, including Dr. Hemakumara Nanayakkara and other key leaders of the Mawbima Janatha Party.
