China has issued an urgent evacuation advisory for its citizens in Israel, warning that rapidly escalating regional tensions and security risks could worsen as the conflict expands across the Middle East.
BEIJING, June 16 (Reuters) – China’s embassy in Israel has urged its citizens to leave the country immediately, advising nationals to use available land border crossings as regional security conditions deteriorate.
The warning, issued in a statement on the embassy’s official website, reflects mounting concerns over escalating cross-border conflict and the high volatility of the regional security situation.
“The embassy strongly advises Chinese citizens currently in Israel to return to China or leave the country as soon as possible via commercial flights or available land routes,” the statement said.
With international airlines suspending flights and commercial airspace heavily restricted, Chinese officials are actively directing citizens to cross land borders into neighboring countries. Organized groups of Chinese nationals have begun evacuating via the Taba crossing into Egypt, while the embassy noted that routes into Jordan remain an option for individual departures.
The advisory also instructed any Chinese nationals choosing to remain in Israel to exercise extreme caution, avoid high-risk targets such as military sites, power plants, and transportation hubs, and stay near designated bomb shelters.
Beijing has repeatedly called for an immediate ceasefire in the region, warning that the widening conflict threatens broader regional stability.
