Linda Noskova Wimbledon Victory Sealed in Decider
Noskova recovered quickly from that disappointment and regained control in the deciding set. She secured the crucial break before completing victory on her sixth championship point with an unreturned serve.
The 6-2, 5-7, 6-3 result extended the Czech Republic’s impressive recent record in the Wimbledon women’s singles competition.
Noskova became the third Czech woman in four years to lift the Venus Rosewater Dish. Marketa Vondrousova won the title in 2023, while Barbora Krejcikova followed in 2024.
During the trophy ceremony, an emotional Noskova paid tribute to her late mother. She also praised Muchova and reflected on the importance of two Czech players contesting the final.
For Muchova, the defeat brought further Grand Slam heartbreak. She also finished runner-up at the 2023 French Open.

The Linda Noskova Wimbledon success completed a memorable fortnight and confirmed her status as one of women’s tennis’s leading young players.
