Vipul Misra SriLankan Airlines appointment as Acting Chief Executive Officer takes effect from today, Sept. 9, the national carrier announced.
Misra brings more than two decades of experience in aircraft engineering and aviation leadership.
His career has included senior exposure across several major commercial airlines, including Air India, Vistara, Indigo, SpiceJet, Kingfisher Airlines and Air Deccan.
SriLankan Airlines said his broad experience across legacy, full-service and low-cost carrier models is expected to provide strong technical and operational direction during the interim period.
The airline added that the appointment comes as SriLankan Airlines continues efforts to improve its performance and strengthen long-term sustainability.
The carrier announced the appointment through an official statement.
