Moises Henriques smashed 111 off 51 balls for Portugal against Czechia as the former Australia star powered their 2028 T20 World Cup qualifying push.
A Moises Henriques century became the centre of attention in Finland after the former Australia international blasted 111 from only 51 balls against Czechia in the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup Europe Sub-Regional Qualifier C.
The 39-year-old captain struck 12 fours and seven sixes at a strike rate of 217.64, producing the defining innings of Portugal’s fourth consecutive victory in the tournament.
Henriques powered Portugal to 211 for six from 20 overs at the Tikkurila Cricket Ground in Vantaa. Czechia then slumped to 24 for five after 8.5 overs before rain ended the match.
Portugal were awarded a 91-run victory under the DLS method, keeping their unbeaten campaign alive and strengthening their bid to advance along the qualification pathway for the 2028 ICC Men’s T20 World Cup in Australia and New Zealand.
