CITYNAME – The Morning Telegraph announced Thursday the launch of its new citizen journalism network, an initiative inviting local residents to report on events and issues shaping their neighborhoods.
Under the banner “See Something, Say Something,” the news organization is opening its pages and digital platforms to firsthand accounts, photographs and video coverage from community members.
“Traditional newsrooms cannot cover every street corner simultaneously,” said Roy Denish, Editor (News & Business) of The Morning Telegraph. “The most impactful local stories are often those lived by the people in our communities. We want to give those voices a trusted platform.”
The initiative seeks submissions across three primary categories:
• Breaking news: Firsthand accounts, photos and video clips from unfolding local events.
• Community advocacy: Reports on neglected local infrastructure, neighborhood safety concerns or unaddressed municipal issues.
• Local features: Stories highlighting community heroes, grassroots organizations and cultural events.
All submissions must be emailed to editor@themorningtelegraph.com
Submissions must include the author’s full name, address and phone number for verification purposes.
All submitted articles will be cross-checked for accuracy and facts. Publication of any submitted material is at the sole discretion of the editorial board, and there is no guarantee that articles will be published.
