Justice Minister Harshana Nanayakkara visited officers injured in the Negombo Prison clash as 23 officers and 54 inmates receive treatment.
Justice and National Integration Minister Attorney Harshana Nanayakkara visited officers injured in the Negombo Prison clash at the Negombo District General Hospital yesterday evening (06).
During the visit, the Minister inquired about the condition and well-being of the injured prison officers. He also discussed their ongoing treatment and required medical facilities with doctors and hospital staff.
A total of 23 prison officers injured in the Negombo Prison clash are currently receiving treatment. Authorities have admitted them to the Negombo District General Hospital and the Colombo National Hospital.
Meanwhile, 54 inmates injured during the same clash are also undergoing medical treatment.
