Colombo, Sri Lanka – Former Minister Mervyn Silva has been arrested by a team of Criminal Investigation Department (CID) officers.
The arrest took place at Silva’s residence, where CID officials carried out the operation. Following his detainment, he was escorted to the CID headquarters for further investigation.
Authorities have yet to disclose the specific charges or reasons behind the arrest, and an official statement from law enforcement is expected in the coming hours.
