The Bar Association video request calls on the government to release the complete, unedited recording of its August 12 discussion with the President.
The Sri Lanka Bar Association made the request in a letter sent to the Media Unit of the Presidential Secretariat.
In the letter dated August 14, the Association said it had received only a portion of the video relating to the meeting. It stressed that the footage provided was not a complete recording of the discussion.
According to the Association, the available video covers only the preliminary stage of the meeting. It also said the audio quality in several sections was extremely unclear.
The Bar Association video request therefore seeks the entire recording of the meeting, including all comments, observations and responses made during the discussion.
The Association has also asked for the footage to include the special statement delivered at the conclusion of the meeting by its representative delegation.
In its letter, the Sri Lanka Bar Association further requested that the Presidential Secretariat provide the unedited footage in the highest possible audio and visual quality.
The request places focus on obtaining a complete record of the August 12 discussion rather than the partial footage currently available to the Association.
